Talking to strangers.
**UPDATE** 90% of the people you will talk to on Omegle are smacktards and trolls…. just be warned
I some how caught a couple people that where really interesting… and they where as surprised as I was after the others I had before… kind of makes me rethink the rest of what I wrote earlier… screw strangers… they are mainly assholes.
**/UPDATE**
I ran across an interesting website today. The sort that can kind of make you think. It is a website that lets you chat with a complete stranger, completely anonymously. I was struck by how simple it was. Then I got a little worried, what am I going to talk about with someone who I randomly met just seconds ago. And I still know nothing about them. But it was surprisingly easy to get into a really good conversation. I think it might have been easier because he/she (they didn’t mention their gender) was an enterprise programmer from India. Computer people always have something to talk about. But what happens next time when I hit the friendly blue “start a chat” button and end up talking to a housewife in Maryland? Will the conversation still be as enjoyable?
Then I started thinking. How about the people I see every day on my way to work? It’s pretty much the same thing. I don’t know anything about them… instead of being a blank chat window they are a picture, a face I see regularly but nothing behind it. Like the older couple that walks the opposite way I am riding every day. They are out there rain or shine every day just like I am. But I don’t know anything other than that.
So the question is… will you start a conversation today? (and just for the record I am sad to say I probably won’t)

That is a nice looking circle.
JEALOUS!!!!
Rorshach can’t be chaotic good, he’s got too much of a code.
I’d stick him in “Lawful Evil”, myself. Kind of like “The Punisher” or someone of that stripe.
Of course this is AD&D and I don’t remember the definitions of the alignments for ye olde DnD.
That Neutral Evil one is SPOT on! I never thought of that guy before when I’ve done these. True Neutral being Indiana Jones is good too, depending on which film you use.
Nerd nerd nerd, nerd nerd nerd? Nerd nerd nerd nerd; nerd nerd Nerd nerd nerd. Nerd nerd, nerd nerd nerd, nerd nerd nerd nerd!
This is awesome! I can not wait to see what kind of home brew stuff comes out now.
Interesting… Is Laura Croft going to have a 10 foot sword now?
That’s pretty awesome… I’m gonna save that image =)
I’ve every now and then struck up a conversation with a random person… Not a full conversation I suppose, but a friendly exchange. I’m usually pleasantly surprised by how delightful a feeling I have when the exchange is through.
Hehe… I was hoping this was real =P
Awesome… Freaking awesome. Although, the text-based one might even be more fun… =)
DUDE! Yes. I want one.
OMNOMNOMNOM!
That’s pretty dang awesome.
That is pretty awesome. Kind of makes you think about what skills might fall by the wayside in the next 100 years.
I don’t even have time to pack my own lunch… how can he swing it and still actually get them to school?
wow. that’s really cool. I can’t wait to check some of these out!
I would consider it for the DnD PDFs, but that’d be a REALLY expensive DnD book…
It’s a little bit too big for my tastes to carry around and be my full time e-reader. And while I wish the Kindle 2 had had PDF support, I don’t know that I’d want to really read the DnD PDFs on a smaller screen. So it’s a trade-off as far as I’m concerned.
Bottom line: I’m still happy with my Kindle 2. Kindle DX, maybe I’d get you if you were about… $100. LOL

Rediculous. And awesome.
